Daniel Smith Permanent Green is an organic, transparent pigment with high-staining properties that yields very clean, vibrant mixtures. The Phthalo Green Blue Shade and Hansa Yellow Light used in its formulation give it excellent lightfastness.

Swatch info: Starting with 10 parts water to 1 part paint (by weight) in the palette, the chemist painted the top half of the swatch uniformly with a round brush to show the paint’s color and characteristics. For the bottom half, a  0.75-inch flat brush was dipped into the paint well just once, then the color was applied in stripes until the brush was dry, which shows the color’s tone and behavior through a wash.
